Affinity Health System (AHS), ranked 11th in the nation and best in Wisconsin for integrated healthcare delivery, is a regional health network serving over 12 communities with approximately 90,000 members.
Flad Architects worked with AHS on the design of a new prototype clinic that was implemented at six sites over a five year period throughout the Fox Valley area. Emphasis on sustainability was an integral part of all components of the design to achieve LEED certification. Notable features include a large vaulted entry and an adjacent healing garden. A history wall reflects events specific to each region, as well as the history and culture of the institution.
This project was accepted by the Center for Health Design as a Pebble Project, which involved significant research on the achievement of measurable patient outcome goals.
