"This project added 31,670 square feet of new construction to an existing 23,370-square-foot building that was renovated as part of the project. The completed building offers research laboratories, support spaces, a lobby with an atrium, a variety of teaching labs, classrooms, conference rooms, and faculty offices. The atrium, a key component of the facility, was designed to foster interaction among faculty members, administrators, and students, and is connected to an entry plaza that offers additional opportunities for gatherings. Conference rooms and other, more casual meeting areas are located throughout the building. " — Chronicle of Higher Education
