Firm Statement
Atelier Malvar + Tusch (AMT) offers a range of services that cater to our clients’ specific needs. We are committed to providing cost-effective, well managed services that are sensitive to our clients’ budgets and schedules.
Site Surveys: The AMT team has the expertise to execute a complete survey of existing conditions during the initial stages of a project. Even before measuring the exterior and interior space, we research the governing bodies for code, egress and accessibility requirements. We then provide detailed floor plans, sections and elevations. We offer this service to commercial brokers and new clients.
Feasibility Studies: We also provide our clients with preliminary cost estimates, zoning analysis and projections, enabling them to meet their goals and make informed decisions about the feasibility and cost of each project option.
Programming: Project planning and programming is a complex issue involving all stakeholders in the project. Our expertise in this area and understanding of all the disciplines involved, allows us to schedule realistic and achievable cost and time lines. We identify and evaluate existing conditions, safety issues and code requirements, define the clients needs and physical presentation of the project, as well as prepare all preliminary documents.
Space Planning: Professional design requires detailed planning of floors, fixtures and wall space. We use a combination of 3D rendering, reference images and material sample boards to ensure that our designs are correct, acceptable and fully understood by all stakeholders.
Design Development: AMT formulates and finalizes design solutions and recommendations to our clients. We establish the style, character, arrangement and specifications for the furniture, fixtures and finishes of the spaces. We then present these to our clients in the form of floor plans, elevations, 3D renderings, and color boards.
Value Engineering: AMT help our clients maximize their budget in order to save them money and accomplish as many of their goals as possible. We establish project budget and goals, prepare cost estimates and compare these costs to their budget. We then analyze alternative materials that could be used without diminishing the quality and detail of the design.
Construction Documentation: This involves much more than providing a set of architectural drawing. We generate detailed and precise responsibility schedules, construction and fixture plans, exterior and interior elevation, sections and details. AMT will coordinate all project consultants and engineers to order to ensure a tight set of documents that can be submitted for bidding and building department approval.
Construction Administration: When needed, AMT can provide both on-site and in-office services during the construction process. We will attend weekly project meetings in order to monitor the quality and progress of construction. Reviewing and approving shop drawings, RFI’s, change orders, and pay requisitions are all part of the services we offer.
