Services
System & Facility Analysis 1. Initial meeting with the architect, construction manager, and client to discuss the needs and requirements of the facilities. We will review the preliminary schematic drawings and programming information for the facilities and systems and interpret their intended use 2. We will prepare a document of our findings, including functional capabilities, systems descriptions, preliminary AV layouts and elevations, and budget estimates.
Audiovisual Drawings 3. Design of room layouts and configurations depicting the location and placement of all audiovisual items. We will provide AV facility plan and elevation drawings depicting: audiovisual cabinet podium locations and locations details all speaker video projector mounting locations details projection screen details of any custom specifications items
Mechanical & Electrical Related Items 4. Schedule for all heat load and power requirements for the AV equipment. 5. Detailed audiovisual floor and ceiling cabling plans. Specifications for all AV related outlets, electrical conduits, floor-boxes, wall-plates, back-boxes, junction boxes, etc. 6. Provide recommendations for interfacing the AV system with the room lighting and controls. We will coordinate with the M/E consulting engineers the specifications for room lighting to best enhance the functioning of the facility. 7. Coordination of drawing specifications with the architect and consulting engineers. Acoustical 8. Review with the architect the type of facility and discuss the acoustical and noise criteria objectives. We will make recommendations for the appropriate noise criteria.
Lighting Coordination 9. We will provide our recommendations for the room lighting and controls. We will coordinate with the Lighting Consultant and the M/E engineers the specifications for room lighting to best enhance the functioning of the audiovisual systems.
Audio Visual & Lighting Systems Design 10. A complete and thorough set of drawings depicting the audiovisual systems design will be prepared. This drawing set will include: audio/video block control panel diagrams details and menus equipment cabinet wall plate layouts details sound system any custom details specifications required
Bid Specifications 11. Preparation of detailed specifications describing thoroughly the scope of work, defining the AV and electrical contractors' responsibilities, the documentation requirements, description of the installation practices, and establishing performance standards. Included with this will be a complete list of all equipment and custom items. 12. Compile the complete set of audiovisual drawings including all facility plans, elevations, electrical drawings, audio/video block diagrams, control panel drawings, details and notes page. 13. Send the audiovisual package to qualified audiovisual contractors. 14. Be available for questions regarding our design, equipment specified, and implementation of the audiovisual systems. We will clarify any items, revisions or changes. 15. After the bids are returned, we will review the bids and check that they have all been properly submitted. We will evaluate any substitutions or alternatives and present the impact of these alternatives. We will make our recommendation for award of the AV contract.
Construction Coordination 16. We will be available on an ongoing basis for coordination with the architect, construction manager, electrical contractor and the audiovisual contractor for any job site conditions that may occur. 17. Attend (as needed) the construction meetings. We will oversee the proper installation of all construction-related general and electrical items required for the audiovisual systems.
Audiovisual Contractor Supervision 18. We will review and approve the AV contractor's submission drawings including all block diagrams, rear -views, control panels and cable pull drawings. 19. We will inspect the systems at the audiovisual contractor's facility before delivery to insure the systems have been fully tested and staged. We will review the testing results and documentation for adherence to the specifications. 20. Oversee the proper installation of the audiovisual systems.
Final Testing and Acceptance 21. At the completion of the installation, we will provide a thorough performance and acceptance test of the system. We will prepare a detailed punch list. We will follow up to confirm that the punch list items have been corrected. 22. We will review all documentation drawings, as builds, testing and certification results, owner's manuals, operating instructions and warrantees.
Training 23. Provide complete hands-on training and familiarization with the operation and use for and of the systems which we specify.
