Ballistic Architecture Machine (BAM) is a design and art studio based in Beijing, China offering clients complete design services delivering the highest possible artistic and cultural value. BAM uses an environmental, planning, landscape, architecture, and art knowledge-base to arrive at synthetic solutions. These synthetic solutions, driven by thinking across multiple disciplines in close collaboration with clients, yield powerfully relevant built works that contribute real value to the places in which we live.
Trained as artists, architects, and landscape architects, BAM’s principals have collaborated since 2002 on projects around the world. BAM believes our idea of nature is gradually changing. As new technology begins to shape our environment, our perception of nature is becoming outdated. These changes are diminishing not only our interaction with nature but also how we value our surroundings. Through thinking diagonally across diverse subjects BAM reconsiders traditional concepts of nature. BAM’s goal is to create projects that improve people’s lives, help us value our surroundings, and enable us to move towards a new and healthy relationship to our environment.
