"This six-story structure in Berkeley is the first California community college constructed as a single building in an existing city neighborhood. Designed to house programs that have previously been spread around Berkeley, as well as to accommodate a planned increase from 4,500 students to 7,000, the building was also intended to earn LEED certification. Among its other features are science labs, a digital-video studio, and an atrium that rises the full height of the building and brings natural light into it. " — Chronicle of Higher Education
