"We have established 3 new practices under the names of Boogertman Tomane Moteane + Partners, Boogertman Urban Edge + Partners and Boogertman Langa + Partners, operating from Bloemfontein, Johannesburg and Durban. Black partners with financial, technical and staff assistance from the existing Boogertman + Partners Architects, Sloane Park, South Africa practices, manage these offices.
"The purpose of these practices is to ensure and support the immediate and effective black empowerment in our profession.
"We continue along a road, embarked upon some years ago, to transform our practice in an environment where the industry struggles to attract sufficient numbers of previously disadvantaged candidates.
"Within the framework of BBBEE (Board Based Black Economic Empowerment) we are proud to have achieved a 49.95% score from the Empowerdex Rating agency. This qualifies Boogertman + Partners as a level 6 contributor."
