[edit] Firm Statement

Bradley J. Butcher, AIA began private practice in northern Michigan in June 1996 to provide architectural and planning services to clients throughout the Great Lakes region. In August 2001, the practice became Butcher & Associates, PC. The firm provides architectural services for a highly diverse array of project types including municipal, military, retail, office, resort and hospitality, industrial, and single and multi-family developments.

The success of Butcher & Associates, PC is a direct result of the firm's ability to share ideas, planning strategies, and design solutions with all members of the design team. This design team counts the Client as one of its members. The input of the client, no matter how qualified, is always considered during the design process. An open line of communication leads to shared ideas and mutual satisfaction in the final solution.

Municipal clients include large and small communities throughout Michigan - fire stations, public safety and emergency medical service facilities, police stations, city and township halls, marinas, libraries, community centers, and other special use facilities. The focus is always on the intended use of the structure and how it will best serve the needs of the citizens of each community.

Residential clients enjoy custom designs specifically tailored to their individual needs. Universal Design considerations are a large factor in homes of all sizes - traditional designs to the cottage on the lake; country homes and golf course living to the cabin in the woods; larger floor plans to the design considerations of the Not-So-Big House philosophy - long term planning makes homes usable and accommodating for our clients regardless of age or physical limitations.
