"The renovation and expansion of a 1972 campus art museum produced a building that houses 60,000 square feet of gallery space, as well as the college's art department and art library. The project reused much of the previous building's frame, but increased its size by 28 percent. Among the building's highlights are 11 new benches, each designed by a different New England artist specially for the museum, and the ground-floor restrooms, designed to be works of art in themselves.
