We consult with design professionals, structural engineers, contractors and owners of concrete structures to assist in identifying problems with, or in prescribing materials, additives, treatments or design of a concrete to insure sustainability and longevity based on the use and operating environment.
We specialize in reducing the moisture content and available oxygen to a concrete interior matrix. Doing so, we are able to remove two of the four elements needed for corrosion cell formation on reinforcing steel. A waterproof concrete does not allow contaminates (chlorides in particular) to enter. The affects of carbonation, ASR, ettringite and efflorescence are also greatly reduced when a waterproofed surface does not permit internal chemistry of a concrete to migrate out to a surface and react with an atmosphere. Carbonation, common to all concretes is thwarted as it does not penetrate a treated surface.
By waterproofing and protecting a concrete surface, we are able to maintain high pH levels of a concrete interior keeping the passivating layer of protection on embedded steel reinforcment. Maintaining the passivating layer on steel does not allow corrosion cell formation on steel and prevents spalling of a concrete.
Stabilizing a chemistry in a concrete is essential to an extended life cycle, maintenance free structure, and a surface that is ready for other paint or coating applications. Hence the name StableCrete!
StableCrete, is available in two proprietary formulations. StableCrete (clear) and StableCrete (Red Tint) are packaged in 2.5, 5, 55, and 350 gallon sized containers ready for shipment to any jobsite. Pricing is available through the contact page on the website as the polymers in this product fluctuate on a weekly basis.
A standard warranty of 15 years for waterproofing is available on all approved applications. Photographic submissions of the Red Tinted product application will serve as demonstration of a proper application and qualify for the warranty. Clear applications may require water and acid testing by the manufacturer, prior to issuance of the 15 year warranty.
Product is topically applied [spray, brush, or roller combination] to new or aged concretes and penetrates into the gel pore/capillary system, where it reacts to form a solid Inside a concrete matrix. There is no film left on a surface, and paint coatings may be applied within 48 hours. Superior cures of concrete and exceptional adhesion are made possible to all treated surfaces.
There is no provision for a Re-Coating of this product as it will not be absorbed! There are also NO precautionary statements regarding the etching or harm to metals or glass.
