(CMI) a well respected commercial contractor in the New Orleans Metropolitan area was founded in 1989 by Glen Newell the company’s owner and President. Progressively, Construction Masters acquired the capabilities to provide projects ranging from $500,000 to over $25 million. Construction Maters’ team specializes in new construction, as well as renovations, and restorations. CMI is equipped to facilitate construction to the client in accordance with the contract documents, applicable laws, and current building code from acceptance to completion. Our organization is highly motivated and proficient in varied arenas, such as negotiated, public or private projects. Our experience has a proven creative and innovative approach paired with a proactive attitude and sense of ugency which are key to being extremely responsive to our customers; while producing high-quality work on time and within budget, insuring the successful completion of the client’s project.

Glen Newell has been an established contractor in the general construction industry for over 21 years. Beginning as a developer in residential construction, he gradually turned all of the company's efforts to focus on the commercial industry. With revenues totaling over 20 million dollars annually, Construction Masters' corporate office operations consist of several members, with bachelor's and degrees in related fields. Rene J. Becnel our CEO is a licensed architect and brings over 30 years of architecture & construction management to the firm. The field operates with several superintendents in addition to a painting and carpentry crew. This team-spirited organization prides itself on producing high-caliber work within the budget constraints and time limitations of all jobs.

Completion of past projects include hospitals, fire departments, federal building, correctional facilities, schools for Jefferson Parish and Orleans Parish School Boards, fire stations, museums, police stations for the City of New Orleans, facilities for the Coast Guard, various Housing Authorities, the Department of the Army, and the Department of the Navy, State Department of Education, Recovery School District, and State Department of Facility Planning.
