Commentary
A restrictive yet spectacular site heavily influenced the placement and resultant massing of the Cooper Residence. In a residence for six, with privacy distinctions between the realms of the adult and the children requested, the limited buildable area on a sea front promontory dictated a decidedly vertical volume focused towards the bay view. Access is from the north, with a separate garage and recreational equipment storage structure shaping the rear entry while a stair on the south lowers residents from the second level living spaces to the water.
