"Having far outgrown its old facilities, the university's College of Education is now united in a new building designed to accommodate its 1,300 undergraduates and 500 graduate students. In addition to standard classrooms and offices for faculty members, the building houses observation-learning labs, reading clinics, science labs, human-performance labs, and an early-childhood-development center. A center for educational technology, a conference center, and an advising center are also included. Forming one side of a campus quadrangle, the new building incorporates a major campus walkway that brings campus pedestrian traffic into and through the building. A two-story, sky-lit central court establishes the social center of the college at the second level and allows natural light to reach all faculty offices. " — Chronicle of Higher Education
