The original portion of Grace Episcopal Church was designed by Fargo architect George Hancock in collaboration with Rev. B. F. Cooley and Bishop W. D. Walker. It was the first church constructed in the newly formed Diocese of North Dakota. Some time during the 1890s a social hall was added by Hancock, connected to the west end of the church. In 1913, Jamestown architect Gilbert Horton enlarged the church with a new chancel on the east.
