[edit] Focus
Learning Environments, Healing Environments, Living Environments, Working Environments
GSC's understanding of group dynamics and communal interaction dates back to the company formation in 1978, and has led us to organize our practice into four key departmental areas: Learning environments, Working environments, Healing environments and Living environments. These areas encompass several industry segments, including Higher Education and K-12 Education, Corporate, Science/Technology, Healthcare, Senior Living, Retail/ Hospitality and Civic/ Government. We continuously build our clients’ success by creating efficiencies, utilizing our strong professional relationships with builders and municipalities, and providing inherently sustainable building assets.
Thoughtful Designers Who Drive Success
GSC is managed by five principals, each focused in one or more of our 4 areas of practice. Our multi-disciplinary staff of 40+ allows GSC to match work demands for our clients. We work collectively to form specific teams of experts for each unique project, enabling success throughout the entire process of design, from site planning to final equipment installation and occupancy. Using an integrated, “problem seeking” approach, dedicated team members proactively look for potential conflicts, proposing solutions before they become issues. In this way, GSC maximizes natural and purchased resources for our clients. GSC is a recipient of the coveted "Firm Achievement Award" from the Austin Chapter of the American Institute of Architects. The annual award is the highest honor that AIA Austin can bestow on an architecture firm for contributions to the community, the profession and for producing distinguishing architecture.
