Hammer Architects has built a substantial portfolio encompassing academic, commercial and residential projects. Much of our work focuses on renovations and additions and often requires the integration of new construction with an historic or architecturally significant building. Our goal is to craft well designed buildings that are appropriate to their surroundings, merge seamlessly with existing structures and make a positive contribution to their environment.
Our residential designs have been published in James Grayson Trulove’s book The New Wood House by the Bulfinch Press, in 50 Great Vacation Homes, 100 Country Houses, Ultimate Urban Makeover and Outdoor Living by the Images Publishing Group in Australia, as well as in New England Home, Second Home Journal, Cape Cod & Islands Home, Provincetown Arts, Cape Cod View, and in Architecture Boston Magazine. Our houses have also been featured on Home Again with Bob Vila and on WCVB’s Chronicle television newsmagazine.
