"Serving 6,000 Jewish students, the building is the largest college or university Hillel in the United States. It offers an auditorium, activity rooms, a library, and a kosher dining facility that can serve up to 250 people per meal. It can accommodate up to five separate Sabbath services. The three-story building was constructed between two 19th-century houses that are on the National Register of Historic Places. The architects made the building appear less massive than it is by setting the third story back and sheathing it in light-colored stone, rather than in the red brick used on lower floors.
