| Client | Saint Michael's College |
| Area | 14,085 square feet ( square meters) |
"A major donor to the college, Robert Hoehl, Class of 1965, thought the college needed an area to greet guests, so the main floor of the new building was conceived as a living room in which to welcome prospective students and their parents. Also housed here are offices for the admissions and marketing staffs. The building replicates some architectural details of a cathedral in Pontigny, France, associated with the Society of St. Edmund, which founded the college. A stand of red oaks on the periphery of the campus that needed thinning provided three logging trucks' worth of wood, some of which was made into chairs for the new building.
