[edit] Discussion
This building is currently the subject of a legal dispute between local preservationists and a large home improvement store chain. The Preservation Action Council contend that the building is significant to the history of Silicon Valley and should not be demolished to make way for new commercial construction.
[edit] Building Damaged by Fire
This building was severely damaged by fire on March 07, 2008. Efforts are underway to preserve part of the building as the site is redeveloped by the Lowe's home improvement store chain.
