"Built in 1928, the Russell Library underwent an earlier expansion in 1965. In this project, the university's goals were to restore the original library, completely renovate the 1965 addition, and create a new addition of 93,000 square feet, more than tripling the library's size. Features now include a 24-hour gathering and study zone with a cyber-cafe, a graduate-student study lounge, group-study rooms, electronic classrooms, and additional reference areas. High-density shelving contributed to a doubling of both collection capacity and reader seats. The library is also home to the Flannery O'Connor Memorial Room, a museum and archive dedicated to the author, a Georgia College alumna. " — Chronicle of Higher Education
