[edit] Discussion
The Jetty House turns a second-row beach lot into ocean front property with its elongated linear structure that utilizes a narrow space between two large homes to create ocean views from every floor. Because flood codes dictate minimum building heights, the house’s underside is treated as a fifth façade. Inside, a circulation spine choreographs movement through the house to maximize the visual experience of the ocean beyond. Selectively placed windows on the east and west walls reinforce telescopic views while providing complete privacy. This sequence culminates at the roof garden, which appears to merge with the ocean from the house’s master suite.
