Pat Guthrie is the author of a wonderful series of architectural books titled, The Architect's Portable Handbook: First Step Rules of Thumb for Building Design, published in March 2003, which is its third edition; and the Interior Design Portable Handbook: First Step Rules for Interior Architecture, published in May 2004. Both books are exceptional references, even in the year of this addition, which is 2008.
