"This three-story building both provides a new entry to campus and completes Bowdoin's science quadrangle. The building was situated to take advantage of student circulation paths from the east, as well as to save as many of the existing pine trees as possible. Kanbar Hall houses the psychology and education departments and the Center for Learning and Teaching. The various programs in the building share classrooms and seminar rooms as well as the library, lounge, and meeting areas. " — Chronicle of Higher Education
