"The museum is considered the country's first photography museum devoted solely to one photographer. It displays all the works of the late photographer and honored Sakata citizen, Ken Domon. Yoshio Taniguchi, a Yasohachi Yoshida's Awardee, designed the building plan. Isamu Noguchi designed the sculptural works and Hiroshi Teshigawara designed the garden. Yusaku Kamekura contributed a gold-plated plaque displaying the museum's name." – http://www.city.sakata.lg.jp/sakata_tmp/e/shisetu/domon_e.html
