Of 544 buildings -- homes and a church -- in this district, Leenhouts & Guthrie built only a few. Their most outstanding work in this district is the Rubin House, circa 1911, at 3243 N. Summit Avenue. One reason it stands out is that it is unlike most homes in the district; more typical are late Victorian and Queen Anne as well as a few English Arts and Crafts.
