The Macomber Stone House is a two-story vernacular Federal style farmhouse built c. 1836 constructed of field dressed limestone in a random ashlar pattern. Historical records indicate that Alonzo Macomber moved to this property, then known as the Lime Kill lot, in 1828. During the last quarter of the nineteenth century members of the locally prominent Hoag family occupied the Macomber Stone House. The property was Listed in the National Register of Historic Places on October 11, 1984.
