| Notes | This is a six-tower hotel megastructure, with towers arranged in three pairs and connected at the rooftop level by an expressive, curved and cantilevered deck that is shaped vaguely like a cruise ship. The rooftop deck at once connects the project to the Metabolist momement of modern architecture, and also recalls, in a painfully literal way, the Corbusian metaphor of rooftop as ship deck, as eloquently expressed in Villa Savoye and Unite d Habitation among others. |
