| Building Details | |
| Client | Bard College |
| Cost | $7.2-million |
| Area | 36,000 square feet ( square meters) |
"To create a new film and music complex for Bard, two existing buildings were gutted and retrofitted with shooting and editing studios, offices, and rehearsal rooms. The two structures were connected with a new 15,000-square-foot, two-story addition, construction of which also created a horseshoe-shaped, sloping outdoor courtyard that can function as an outdoor movie theater; an unusual half-helix covered walkway, designed by the architect Todd Dalland, connects the original buildings on the horseshoe's open end. New auditoriums permit several rehearsals, screenings, and classes to take place simultaneously. " — Chronicle of Higher Education
