"This new art building's flexible, wide-open spaces are meant to encourage students to work in as many media as they want, rather than being constrained by their studios. The building also lets students easily see and draw inspiration from others' work, whether in traditional studio arts like painting, drawing, sculpture, and printmaking or in filmmaking, photography, or media arts. Garage-style doors even let work spill out onto lawns. The building, which is expected to gain LEED certification, was designed to take advantage of recycled materials, natural light, and geothermal heating and cooling. " — Chronicle of Higher Education
