[edit] Creators Words

"The architecture of the new building works to harmonize with that of the old buildings of the precinct by means of analogy and contrast. Its symbolic and formal vocabulary is analogous to Gill’s in its abstract-cubist forms, multiple arched openings, and rhythmic columned pergola. The greater scale of these forms and their iconographic dimension are in contrast with Gill’s more domestic-scaled and aesthetically abstract buildings. The new building’s accommodation to context helps to enhance the already beautiful setting by making it more of a whole."
