The National Photographic Archive is one of three adjacent buildings in Dublin's Temple Bar quarter, designed by the Irish architecture firm O'Donnell + Tuomey. The gallery is a small building positioned at the southern end of Meeting House Square. The gallery is attached to the northern edge of the Irish Film Centre. The center hosts film screenings on the square in warmer months. A projector room in the facade of the National Photographic Archive building projects films onto a shutter-type shade that covers a large window in the north facade of the gallery.
