"Northrup Hall, which replaces an older building of the same name, is home to many of the university's administrative offices as well as to classrooms and the departments of English and modern languages and literatures. Its design expands the architectural language of the university's older structures, many designed by the Modernist architect O'Neil Ford when Trinity moved to its current campus in 1952. Northrup Hall uses similar building materials but adds energy-conscious elements, such as sun-shading devices and a shade-intensive landscape design. " — Chronicle of Higher Education
