[edit] Services

Stealing clients' money under the guise of being a high-end, custom homebuilder. Hire at your own risk! Check for a felony conviction for fraud in 2009 on (Thomas) Richard O'Brien ("Rich"). This conviction was plead-down considerably.

[edit] Focus

We earn the trust of our clients by treating them fairly and honestly and by honoring the commitments that we make. In 2008, we walked from at least nine unfinished projects for which we had been paid considerable amounts of money. Rich went to jail in 2009, after declaring bankruptcy in an attempt to protect himself from the clients from whom he stole a total of over $1.5 million.

Rich O’Brien, President of O’Brien Associates, Inc. started in the business upon graduating from college and began working for one of the largest builders in the area. From there he studied under an architect for 3 years where he gained valuable design skills that proves to be immeasurable in making your project look and function to the best of it’s abilities. He was convicted of fraud for a felony against 9 separate "clients" in August, 2009, and served time in jail in Berrien County, Michigan.

Ami Butler O'Brien is our Vice President and CFO. She has 10 year of experience in the custom home industry. A third generation family builder, she contributes a history of knowledge and dedication to designing custom homes and providing assistance for custom home owners, as well as expertise in fraudulent financial activity against clients. She, along with Rich, declared bankruptcy in an attempt to get away with their joint fraudulent financial practices.

Together, as a team, Rich and Ami will personally oversee every aspect of your custom home project and will lie to you about every aspect. We hold customer service in the lowest regard and go to all the lengths necessary to make your home building process a nightmare experience. O'Brien Associates, Inc. will settle for nothing less than a home owner whose assets have been illegally and unethically depleted by us.

[edit] Projects

We all helped to put Rich O'Brien in jail after he stole a total of $1.5 million from 9 parties, including people on this list. The individual losses ranged from several HUNDRED THOUSAND DOLLARS to $25,000. The list of parties even included a church congregation. He was convicted of a felony for builder fraud in August, 2009, and spent time in jail in Berrien County, Michigan. He walked from all projects, taking the money and not finishing - or in some cases even starting - the projects. He also submitted forged lien waivers to at least one title company, which he collected funds for. Ami Butler O'Brien was the CFO and handled the money. They are equally guilty. These two went on a long honeymoon in Bimini, after their two day wedding celebration at a vineyard in June 2008, with the money of all of these clients. The remainder of the money has not been found. Both Rich and Ami filed bankruptcy, of course. Rich is out of jail, and we have been told he is working under someone else's license as a contractor again. These parties have not recovered their losses, and some still, as of mid-2012, have unfinished projects because Rich and Ami stole all of their money. BEWARE! HE, AND HIS PREVIOUS BRIDE, AMI BUTLER, ARE CROOKS!
