Major features of the Center’s sustainable design include the use of the largest solar power collection system in the Silicon Valley which will provide approximately 30% of campus electrical power needs, the innovative use of geothermal resources, the use of twin enthalpy wheels to capture wind-contained heat and humidity on cold days, drought-tolerant and water-efficient landscaping which reduces water usage for irrigation by 20-30%, the use of water-conserving fixtures, use of energy-efficient lighting and high performance glass to transmit daylight while minimizing glare and heat gain/loss, and use of low VOC materials and construction materials with high recycled content levels."—Davis Langdon
