Jason C. Osgood of Rensselaer County, N.Y. was a member of New York State Assembly from Rensselaer County 1st District, 1853, 1872. Osgood served on the commission responsible for establishing fire stations throughout Troy early in the 19th century. The J. C. Osgood Fire Station is the oldest working firehouse in the City of Troy and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
