| Product Description | Carlisle Energy Services has contracted with Solyndra, Inc. to deliver photovoltaic systems for commercial rooftop installation with Carlisle's Energy Star®-certified cool-roof systems. When installed on a reflective white thermoplastic polyolefin (TPO) roofing membrane, the output of Solyndra photovoltaic (PV) systems increases up to 20 percent due to the increased collection of reflected and diffuse light. The air flow through the PV panels allow the roof to remain cooler that with other PV systems. The lightweight, non-penetrating PV system eliminates the negative impacts on roof life and performace associated with heavier, ballasted PV systems, and allows easy removal for roof maintenance or redeployment.
