RBC has become a respected financial services powerhouse by helping its customers think intelligently about the future. The striking new RBC Centre in the heart of downtown Toronto will represent an important investment in the company’s future.
Located at the southwest corner of Wellington and Simcoe Streets, the 43-story RBC Centre will feature a ten-story, 400,000-square-foot podium; 34 stories of offices with 25,000-square foot floor plates; 15,000 square feet of retail; and over 400 parking stalls. Details that contribute to the exceptional interior environment include: an 18-inch building technology platform throughout which includes underfloor air distribution, in-floor plug and play, voice data and power cable distribution, floor-to-ceiling glass, HVAC, indirect artificial and natural lighting, and a fully automated daylight harvesting system that comes with blinds and light shelves. This is a list of just some of the numerous green features. The project is targeting LEED silver certification and will enjoy dramatically increased human comfort and a significant decrease in energy and operating costs.
