Founded in 1989, Randal Steiner Architect, P.A. provides personal service to clients on a wide range of projects to include master planning, new construction, and building remodel. Several national, state and local awards have been received for historic preservation projects. The firm is on file with the City of Wichita as an Emerging Business Enterprise. Randal Steiner Architect, P.A. has provided architectural preservation services since 1989. Many projects have been in the Wichita downtown area. The firm conducted the Condition Analysis for the Eaton Hotel / Carey House Square and adjacent buildings, the Condition Analysis for the Old Cowtown Museum, and significant preservation work on St. Mary’s Cathedral, Carnige Library, St. Anthony Church, and the Swope Building. The firm has also done minor remodels on many others. Mr. Steiner is currently a third year board member of the Kansas Preservation Alliance. From 2000-2005, Mr. Steiner served on the Wichita Historic Preservation Board, appointed by Commissioners Joan Cole and Sharon Feary.

1997 Excellence in Preservation – For work on the Whitney Ranch Outbuilding Restoration. Awarded by the Kansas Preservation Alliance.
1998 Pedestal Award – For work on the Condition Analysis of the 500 Block of East Douglas. Awarded by the Historic Preservation Board, City of Wichita, for Outstanding Sustained Contributions to Historic Preservation and the Built Environment in Wichita.
2000-2001 Mr. Steiner appointed by the Wichita City Commission to serve on the Wichita Historic Preservation Board. Nominated by Vice Mayor Joan Cole.
2002-June 2005 Mr. Steiner appointed by the Wichita City Commission to serve as the on the Wichita Historic Preservation Board. Nominated by Vice Mayor Sharon Feary.
July 2005-Current Serves on Kansas Preservation Alliance Board of Directors. The Kansas Preservation Alliance is dedicated to preserving historic places in Kansas. The board members include preservation leaders in the State of Kansas.
2007 Medallion Award for Excellence in Preservation – For work his role as architect on St. Anthony Catholic Church, Awarded by the Kansas Preservation Alliance
2007 Bebe Award for Liturgical Artwork – For St. Anthony Catholic Church, Awarded by Modern Liturgy Magazine
