"Recently LEED certified, this 29,000-square-foot laboratory uses good building orientation, south shading, and north clerestories to provide a superior, daylit workplace in a handsome design. The building exceeded Title 24 energy standards by 50% and includes extensive roof-integrated photovoltaics to further reduce electrical demand. The jury said: this project solves a specialized institutional program with confidence, integrating a large number of environmental criteria and sustainable principles."
