"Scholars Walk was designed to complement the landscaped mall and parklike knoll on the university's Minneapolis campus. The 2,200-foot-long corridor, which links the east and west sides of the campus, is conceived as a commemorative linear space with several smaller gardens nested within. The walk includes lighting, planting, seating, and commemorative elements. " — Chronicle of Higher Education
