"This new science building houses the biology, chemistry, physics, astronomy, and meteorology departments. In addition to classrooms, the building has lecture halls, a greenhouse, an observatory, and a weather center. Each professor's office, research lab, and teaching lab are located together, with hallway seating and a blackboard outside each faculty office. This is the first state-financed building project in Connecticut to earn LEED Silver Certification from the U.S. Green Building Council. " — Chronicle of Higher Education
