[edit] Discussion
The original campus and master plan was the result of a competition that would have five winners. First place was given to Arthur Erickson and Geoffrey Massey, who would design the master plan, Convocation Mall, and Transportation Centre as well as supervising the other architects. The Erickson master plan created a flat campus that was inspired by the Acropolis in Athens as well as hill towns of Italy.
