SOUSASANTOS is a design team focused on the connection between the human environment and the cultural and technological context of our times. We feel that every architectural scheme is multidisciplinary, and not related only with the conventional definition of architectural design. The design process must support a fluid mutual relation between architecture as an area of knowledge and other fields: economics, ecology, science, philosophy and technology. Each design scheme is a unique system, a dynamic development that promotes the understanding of the world. Each design scheme starts a new investigation aimed to the optimal progression of the design process and the creation of the new proposal. Our focus is precise nevertheless our field of work is the broadest possible. We develop every project with the human enthusiasm of creating things. Useful, big, beautiful, small things. Things that shape life. We add to every design the desire to reinvent the way these things are made.
