"Located just across State Street from Ludwig Mies van der Rohe's landmark S.R. Crown Hall, this five-story, 367-student residential complex was designed by Helmut Jahn, who studied under Mies at IIT. The street facade, sheathed in corrugated stainless steel and shaped like a giant breadbox, appears continuous even though the complex consists of three buildings, each with two wings. The back of the building is a sheer wall of glass facing the elevated-train line (<A HREF="/weekly/v50/i16/16a02301.htm">The Chronicle, December 12, 2003</A>). " — Chronicle of Higher Education
