Steve Burns is a nationally certified Landscape Architect (CLARB #1087), registered on state levels in Illinois (#157-001219), Florida (#986), South Carolina (#568) and Washington (#682). He has over 25 years of golf course design and landscape architecture experience. Burns studied pre-engineering at Ohio Wesleyan University prior to earning a Bachelor of Science degree in landscape architecture from Ohio State University in 1981.
Mr. Burns is a Vice-President of TD&A, in charge of client accounts, land planning, golf course design and park design work. Prior to joining TD&A, Mr. Burns was the Owner and Principal of Burns Golf Design, which he founded in November of 1988. His design work earned him both a 1999 and a 2000 “Board Room Magazine Excellence in Achievement Award.” Mr. Burns served as a Design and Construction Associate for Fazio Golf Course Designers, Inc. from 1981 to 1988 where he was the Designer’s Representative for numerous highly-rated golf course projects. His responsibilities in the field included preparation of drawings for each project and construction observation.
