Talk:Fay Jones
From Archiplanet
Dear Editors:
In an effort to assist your laudible work in collecting information on the works of E. Faye Jones, on examining the "collection," it is noted that it does include both the "Fountain and Pook at the Entrance to Hot Springs Village" and the "Desoto Recreation Center" 1970 - 1972.
We would respectfully make you aware that we have the pleasure of residing in the home that E. Faye Jones designed, and which was built, for the daughter of Mr. John A. and Mildred Cooper, located at 13 Guadalajara Lane, Hot Springs Village, AR 71909. The home bears a similar exterior and interior resemblance to the Desoto Country Club building. In fact, the large stone fireplaces in each building have virtually the same shaped large stone resting over the top opening to the firebox of the wood fireplace. The Property Owner's Association shows the lot break-out have been circa 1967, but no home plans. Workers advise that the stucco was put on the home sometime in 1971. The home was utilized as an example of all that was new, luxurious and available in homes of that era.
We would be happy to provide photos of exterior and interior.
Thank you, Donald and Dena Hill 501-922-5660
