I have been a resident of Sunny Isles Beach for a few years now. Living in the Intracoastal Yacht Club as a renter. My concern and dismay is I am being moved out of a community I love. The high End,(HE) builders do not start ground floor apartments at an affordable rate considering the median income of middle class citizens. Do builders have some social responsibility to be inclusive of a diverse finanical community, not all residents of Sunny Isles can afford the HE properties being built in our community. We do want to remain residents of this community. However, with the rise in property taxes, undo tax burdens will be placed on the homeowners who have resided in this community for years. Oh, and renters, such as myself, will see increases in the lease aggrements that no longer afford us the luxury of lease renewal. Now with purchasing a condo is steadily being built out of reach-what is your prospective on this as the HE builders?
