"An existing 1935 campus center with a Greek Revival exterior was "cored like an apple," as one project architect put it, to introduce a 90-foot-high atrium topped with a skylight. At the same time, a new circular exterior was constructed around the existing north wing, creating additional interior space and floor-to-ceiling windows. The building now houses the university bookstore, an 800-seat "great hall," a 200-seat movie theater, a food court, a cafe, an express mart, meeting and event rooms, a study lounge, and a game room.
