Commentary
"This building marks the culmination of Sinan's search for a more and more homogeneous interior. A single dome is supported on an octagon; it is 43 m. in diameter, and its buttressing is barely visible on the outside of the building."
Henri Stierlin. Comprende l'Architecture universelle 2. p383.
