"A group of 18 private and public colleges and universities operate the University Center of Lake County on property adjoining the College of Lake County's campus. The University Center offers a variety of degree and professional-development programs in this new three-story building, which houses classrooms as well as two computer labs, two distance-learning labs, a science lab, a tiered lecture hall, and a theater-style lecture hall with rear-projection technology. Additional academic spaces include a nursing lab, a computer lab, a library, and conference rooms that can be used as small seminar rooms. The center also offers a cafe, a student commons, and a conference center that can accommodate up to 150 people. " — Chronicle of Higher Education
